Lately, I have been carefully observing passionate people. I have come to the conclusion that one is only passionate about things they romanticise. One romanticises a particular thing because of their base human qualities and the experiences they have had as a person.

Camus puts this more succinctly and completely:

A man’s work is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened.

As for me, currently, I find myself passionate about the following:

• Understanding and approximating:
  • Intelligence
  • The Physical World
• Human behavior and societal dynamics.
